Which day should you shop?

Best selection or best price, never both. The full schedule for all four stores, and why the bins look picked over midweek.

The most common question we get is some version of when should I come?

It depends on whether you want the best selection or the best price. You cannot have both, and that is by design.

The three strategies

Restock day — everything is $10The bins are full, and this is when the good stuff goes. Most of the best items are gone in the first couple of hours. If you are hunting for something specific, this is your day. We open an hour early.
The back half — $2 and $1The bins are picked over, but what is left is nearly free. People who come on dollar day routinely leave with a full cart for under twenty dollars.
The middle — $6 and $4The underrated one. Enough left to be worth digging through, cheap enough that a wrong guess costs you nothing.

If the bins look picked over midweek, that is the system working

We get asked this a lot, sometimes with an accusation attached: are you holding things back for dollar day?

No. Bins are never restocked during the week. That is the entire mechanism. The price falls precisely because the selection is thinning. Full bins at ten dollars, thin bins at one dollar — if we refilled midweek, the ladder would not mean anything.

The schedule, store by store

Every store runs the identical ladder, but each starts on a different day and closes the day after its dollar day to restock.

Please check here rather than a listing site. Several third-party directories publish the wrong closed day for our stores — we have seen Byron listed as closed Wednesday and closed Thursday, and both are wrong. The hours on our own location pages are the ones we actually keep.

One more thing worth knowing

That offset between stores is deliberate, and it matters if you live between two of them. Byron and Warner Robins are twenty minutes apart on different cycles — so on Thursday, Byron is a dollar and Warner Robins is ten dollars with full bins. Same trip, two completely different stores.
