This privacy policy describes how Deals Outlet (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to this site.

Information We Collect
When you use the contact form: which store your message is about, your name, your email address, an optional phone number, and your message.
When you apply for a job: the store and the role you are applying for, your name, email address, phone number, home address, whether you are 18 or older, whether you are legally entitled to work in the United States, the days and hours you are available, your earliest start date, your expected hourly rate, your work history, education, and any skills or certifications, how you heard about us, and a résumé if you choose to upload one. An uploaded résumé is stored with the rest of your application on our web host, in a folder that is not linked from this site and is not listed in our public media library. We do not ask for a date of birth, a Social Security number, or bank details through this website. Those are handled on paper, in person, and only if you are hired.
Automatically: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and usage data collected through cookies.
Information We Collect In Our Stores
We take payment through Square, our register and card terminal provider. Card details go straight to Square and are processed by them — we never see or store full card numbers. What we keep is the sale itself: what was bought, when, at which store, and the card type and last four digits printed on the receipt.
If you win an item in one of our Facebook auctions, we hold your name against that item until you collect it, and we check ID at the register so the right person takes it home. We do not photograph or keep a copy of your ID.
Our Facebook Groups and Auctions
Each store runs its auction inside a Facebook group. Those groups live on Facebook, so anything you post there — your name, your profile picture, your bids in the comments — is visible to every other member of that group and is covered by Facebook’s own privacy policy as well as this one.
Winning bids are announced publicly in the group, which means the winner’s Facebook name appears on the post. If you would rather your name was not announced, tell us before the auction closes and we will leave it off.
We never take bids by phone, text or private message, and we never ask for card details in the group or over the phone. Payment happens in person at the register. If somebody messages you asking to pay any other way, it is not us.
Reviews and Social Media
If you leave a public review on Google or Facebook, or comment on one of our posts, we may reply publicly, and that reply is visible to anyone. We do not publish anything you send us privately — a contact form message, an email, a direct message — as a public post.
How We Use It

- To consider you for a job, and to contact you about your application.
- To hold and hand over auction wins.
- To keep records of sales, as any shop has to.
- To keep our stores, our website and our customers safe from fraud and abuse.
- To understand which pages and stores people are looking for, so we can run the business better.
- To send you email only if you have asked us to.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies so that it works properly and stays secure. Where they are switched on, we may also use tools that measure how the site is used and that support our advertising on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell personal information, and we do not trade or rent our customer or applicant lists. We share information only with:
- Square, which processes card payments for us.
- The companies that host, secure and run this website and our email.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google, to the extent you interact with our pages, groups, listings or ads on their platforms — their own policies apply there.
- Anyone we are required to share with by law, or where it is necessary to protect our staff, our customers or our property.
How Long We Keep It
We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to deal with what you wrote in about. Job applications are kept while we are considering you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case something suitable comes up. Sales records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. If you want something deleted sooner, ask us and we will unless we are obliged to keep it.
Keeping It Safe
The website sits behind security software that blocks and logs suspicious requests, which includes recording IP addresses. Access to applications and messages is limited to the people who need it. Sensitive paperwork for new hires — tax withholding and direct deposit forms — is deliberately not collected through this website. Those are blank forms you print, fill in by hand and give to a manager in person.
Your Choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can ask to be left out of a public auction winner announcement. If you ever receive marketing email from us, every message has an unsubscribe link. Write to us at the address below and we will deal with it.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and our job applications are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes To This Policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The version on this page is always the one that applies.
