It runs entirely in your store’s Facebook group. No app, no account to set up, no fees.

Join the group for your storeEach location runs its own auction. Join the one you can actually drive to — that is where you collect what you win.

Watch for the postsPosts go up at 7:30 PM every night, each item with its own photos and description, and close at 7:00 PM the next day. The last bid we accept is at 6:59 PM.

Bid in the commentsType your number. Anyone can outbid you until the timer runs out. Highest bid at close wins it.

Pay and pick up in storeCome to the register at the store that listed the item and pay there — cash or card, plus tax. Pickup is within 48 hours of winning. Need longer? Tell us in the group and we will set it aside.
Why bid instead of coming in? Because you cannot always come in. A listing stays open about a day, so you can put a number in from work or from the couch and still be in it at the end. You name your own price, you see the exact item in the photos before you commit, and you collect at the register. Pickup and payment are within 48 hours of the close, and if you need longer than that, just say so in the group before the time is up.

What goes up for bid
It varies, and that is half the fun. Every listing is its own post with photos of the actual item, so whatever comes up, you can see exactly what you are bidding on before you put a number in.

Winning, paying, picking up
The part people most need to know. These are the rules posted in every group, in plain words.
48 hours to payPayment is due within 48 hours of the auction closing, and it happens in store when you pick up — cash or card, plus applicable tax. We do not take payment in the group or over the phone.
48 hours to collectSame window for pickup. If you know you cannot make it in time, message us in the group before the 48 hours run out and tell us when you are coming — we will set it aside and hold it.
Miss the window and you lose the itemAn unpaid win after 48 hours is forfeited, and it carries a temporary ban from bidding. We are not strict about it for the sake of it — an item sitting behind the register is an item nobody else could bid on.
A bid is a commitmentOnce you put a number in the comments, you have agreed to buy it at that price if you win. Bidding and then not turning up is what the temporary ban is for.
Sold as is, all sales finalEverything goes out the door as it is, the same as the bins. What you see in the listing photos is what you get.
Broken or not as described? 7 daysThe one exception. If an item turns up broken, or the listing did not represent it properly, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will put it right. Nothing is returnable after 7 days.
Collecting at the right store. You pick up at the store that listed the item — each of the four runs its own auction with its own stock, so a Byron win is collected in Byron. Head to the front register with your ID and the item code from the post — something like Sat01 — then check out. Check that store’s closed day before you drive over: there is no pickup on a closed day.
Nobody gets an edge
Every item starts in the same place and closes the same way. Here is exactly how, so you can check it against what you see in the group.
Every item opens at $5Not a price we pick per item, and not a price we adjust for anyone. $5, every listing, every store. From there bids go up in whole dollars, and every new bid has to beat the current one.
No reserve, everThere is no secret minimum. If the highest bid at close is $6, it sells for $6.
7:00 PM is 7:00 PMPosts go up at 7:30 PM and close at 7:00 PM the next day. The last accepted bid is 6:59 PM — a comment at seven or after does not count, no matter who posted it. Highest standing bid at that moment wins, and the winner is announced on the post.
Nobody who works here bidsStaff do not bid in their own store’s auction — least of all the person who runs it. They see the items first, so they are out. No family or friends deals, and no telling anyone what is coming up.
Do not edit or delete a bidIf an edited bid turns out to be the winning one, we take the largest number as the official bid. Anyone caught editing or deleting bids is banned from the auctions. We post a reminder in the group every Friday asking members to flag any they spot, because you see the comment thread as well as we do.
Brand-new accounts cannot bidFacebook accounts a month old or newer are declined automatically. It is the simplest way to stop one person bidding under several names.
The group is the only place a bid countsWe do not take bids in store, on the phone, or in a private message. If it is not a comment on the post, it is not a bid.
It all happens in publicOne item per post, photos of the actual item, and every bid visible in the comments. The winners go up in the group at close for anyone to read.

Auction questions
Short answers to the things people ask before their first bid.
Do I need Facebook to bid?
Yes. The auctions live in Facebook groups and bidding happens in the comments, so you need an account and you need to be a member of your store’s group. Both are free.
Can I bid in one store’s group and collect at another?
No. Each store runs its own auction with its own inventory, and you collect at the store that listed the item. If you are closer to a different location, join that group instead.
What happens after I win?
Come to the register at that store within 48 hours, give your name, and pay there — cash or card, plus applicable tax. Bring some form of ID that matches the account you bid from if you can. If you cannot make 48 hours, message us in the group before it runs out and we will hold it. Wins left unpaid past 48 hours are forfeited and carry a temporary ban from bidding.
Can I return something I won?
All sales are final and every item is sold as is. The one exception is an item that arrives broken or was misrepresented in the listing — contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will sort it out. Nothing is returnable after 7 days. Use the Unboxing and Testing Station at the store before you leave so you know what you are walking out with.
Is there a reserve or a hidden fee?
No reserve and no buyer fee. You pay your winning bid plus sales tax, and that is the whole number.
Do I have to be in the group to see what is listed?
Yes, the groups are members only, which keeps the bidding to people who can actually come and pick things up. Requests are usually approved the same day.
New to us? The auction and the store are two ways to shop the same merchandise. In store, everything in the bins starts at $10 and drops to $1 over the week. In the auction, you bid from home and collect at the register.
